This type of massage is ideally suited for people suffering from muscular pain and wanting to achieve a specific outcome such as reducing pain, or increasing flexibility & movement and improving general health. Remedial massage treatments are great for those who play a lot of sports, have repetitive physical jobs as well as those who spend long periods sitting at a desk.

Here is a list of some of the chronic pain conditions I can help with:

  • Headaches and Migraines

  • Neck and Shoulder Pain

  • Whiplash

  • Jaw Pain (TMJ)

  • RSI’s including tennis elbow/golfers elbow & shin splints

  • Sports Injuries such as runners knee, IT Band Syndrome and Plantar Fasciitis

  • Low Back Pain

  • Knee Injuries

  • Hamstring Strains

  • Ankle Sprains or Strains

  • Hypermobility

  • Sciatica

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome & RSI

  • Fibromyalgia and Systemic Pain

Treatments are based on the Jing Method © a blend of the best of the advanced bodywork techniques from both East and West including: deep tissue and sports massage techniques, heat therapy, trigger point therapy, myofacial work, accupressure and assisted and non-assisted stretching. It’s a truly holistic approach based on the biopsychosocial model of pain and modern neuroscience.

After a thorough initial assessment an individual treatment plan is made to address the pain condition or desired outcome for treatment. Treatments range from 60 - 90 minutes, aftercare advice will be given as well as exercises to aid recovery and provide tools to manage the pain condition from home.

Although you will feel improvements after your first treatment, if you have a longstanding, chronic condition this will not be fixed in one session, treating these problems can be compared to peeling an onion, each problem layer will be dealt with until we have a satisfactory outcome.
