Post-Natal Massage

A restorative and relaxing massage for mums who have recently had their babies. This massage helps to relax and rejuvenate muscles that have been over-worked and stretched during pregnancy and labour.

During pregnancy the body goes through an immense connective tissue muscle change as well as hormonal change and is put under strain internally and externally for over 6 months.  Ribs and internal organs would have been pushed out of place, the back may have been strained and the pelvis would have moved to make room for the precious baby. Massage can help bring the body back to rebalance.

Benefits:

  • Address muscular aches and pains from pregnancy and delivery.

  • Aid muscular aches and pains from new activity of breastfeeding and carrying a small child.

  • Aid the recovery of Diastasis Recti

  • Aid recovery of SPD or Sacral Dysfunction

  • Relax the nervous system

  • Improve Sleep

  • Help hormone levels to rebalance.

If you are finding it difficult to find childcare for your new-born, please feel welcome to bring your baby to the appointment with you and I will adapt the treatment so that you can have your treatment together.
